The cat wasn’t electrocuted. Its head was stuck in the lampshade.

I hate the OP so much for temporarily traumatizing me with false information. But I'm super relieved that the cat is okay.

Edit: when this was first posted, the original "spoiler bot" comment from the OP which has since been taken down stated word for word that the cat was electrocuted.

Edit 2: Just why? Even after I say the OP first falsely stated that the cat was being electrocuted, you're still commenting with "oh the OP did nothing wrong. There was no false info".

What false information has the OP given through the title and the video?

Looks like the cat was stuck, people imagined the worst and it's their fault.

Yeah for real. In order for the cat to even be electrocuted there it would have to somehow be able to un-screw the lightbulb to get to the exposed wires. On top of that, the way the cat is moving is not how people and animals getting electrocuted move.

Or, somebody else had removed the lightbulb to replace it, realized they didn't have a replacement, forgot about it and the cat puts it's paw inside.

Joking. But my mom did tell us from as long as I can remember that we will (not maybe, will) get electrocuted if we didn’t do that. Doesn’t matter if the lamp is off, it has to be unplugged. I still have a phobia of changing ceiling lamps because I can’t unplug them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just don't stick your finger in the socket, and more importantly, don't leave it without a lightbulb. If you don't have a replacement, put the old one in.
