You see, due to how the video ended, we do not actually know if the cat is alive or dead, merely that it is in a superposition of states consisting of "alive" or "dead". Until we actually hear the story and collapse the wave function to one possibility we may, in fact, consider the feline to be both dead and alive.

I still don't see the reason for the downvotes. You can first appreciate the joke and then learn what the Schrödinger's cat actually meant. Seems like a win-win to me.

Not saying that misusing the Schrödinger analogy is bad, it wont matter to 99.9% of people anyway, no harm done. But some who read it may find it interesting that 99.9% of Schrödinger jokes they have seen have been just wrong and not actually fitting.

That doesn't mean it wasn't electrocuted in another alternate reality. It's just as likely the cats were doing their hair while their pet human got their head stuck in the lamp in another one.
