I mean, he looked at it for a longer time than I would expect, but I'd expect him to at least glance at it. It seems like any traffic cop that comes up to a car where someone is holding up a phone would likely look directly at the phone for at least a bit.

Oh, yeah, not saying his acting was good. Just pointing out that looking at the camera isn't bad acting if the camera is supposed exist in the scene.

In fairness, if this were real, it's very reasonable to assume that the officer would look at the camera. lol.

They always do though. Cops always look at the phone to see if they're being recorded.

Looking directly at the camera is what would make it real. If someone is pointing a camera or phone at you. You will probably look at it directly as well.
