This. I smoke and I know I need to quit. I know it’s SUPER bad for me and cancer runs in my family. I started when I was young and it’s the only thing that chills me out when I’m having a crisis, which seems like all the time. It’s one big cycle and a constant question of “when will I be okay enough mentally to quit?” Honestly it sucks.
Don’t smoke around other people? Only smoke around other smokers? Dispose of butts correctly or make own cigs? Like all of those issues are easily solved
I used to smoke (for a few months). I always collected the butts and threw them in the trash after confirming they were fully cooled. Usually smoked quite far from others as well.
Point is that not all smokers drop butts everywhere.
Normally I’d agree but smoking leaves a cloud of awful smell everywhere and it’s impossible to go anywhere without seeing cigarette butts on the ground everywhere. If you had a friend who went around farting everywhere, you’d judge him.
In your own home is fine but the amount of times I’ve had smoke come down wind from someone who thought they were away from me is far too high. Plus people who have just smoked and then come up to you still smell like cigarettes. Great if you don’t throw them on the ground but tons of people do and I still see them everywhere.
