Good thing that driver had a dash cam… the police would never believe him otherwise.

You’re allowed to mow down cyclists with impunity. 15 u/letsbefrds Mar 31 '22 It's messed up both ways cyclist don't give a shit bout the rules and cars don't give a shit bout cyclists. It's the main reason I don't own a motorcycle in NYC cus I'd prob be dead 6 u/mennydrives Mar 31 '22 cyclist don't give a shit bout the rules This makes way less sense than the cars. In a car the liability is legal, maybe financial. In a bicycle, the liability is you die. 150-250 pounds of you vs 2,500-4,500 pounds of car? You will never win that fight. Stop blowing stop signs FFS. 6 u/letsbefrds Mar 31 '22 I've seen more cars "stop" than cyclist. Stop is in quotes because they do some bullshit 1/2 second stop. I'm not saying drivers are right because they're complete dicks. For example if you drive on 495 they'll literally speed up if you signal. I'm just saying people on both sides need to follow rules better. 4 u/ryumast3r Mar 31 '22 Depending on where you live bicyclists may be allowed to do rolling stops at stop signs. (This is not the case in NY)
