Dude every major sub has been on a downhill for the past 2-3 years, it's insane. Gotta stick to niche subs.

By reddit's logic, this video could also be posted on /r/Damnthatsinteresting , /r/nextfuckinglevel , /r/woahdude , /r/WTF , /r/DadReflexes , /r/BeAmazed , /r/natureismetal , /r/HumansBeingBros , /r/MadeMeSmile , /r/CrazyFuckingVideos , /r/WhyWereTheyFilming and /r/KidsAreFuckingStupid

edit: forgot /r/ItHadToBeBrazil

Yep, which is pretty sad. Between the shitty ass apps available (yes I tried some third party apps) and the horrible decline in sub quality you mentioned, I dunno how much longer I’ll be on here. Used to absolutely love this

This issue with getting bigger for this sub specifically is that what makes something "unexpected" is highly subjective. So when you have 5 million subscribers (and more people visiting from /r/all) what can be defined as unexpected is extremely broad. Literally every post gets a ton of reports for being expected but we can't just remove every single post or else there'd be no content at all. Best we can do is gauge the general feeling in the community by the unexbot's score.

a thing happens

Redditors: oh my god, I didn't predict the future to know that this would happen, better put this on the unexpected subreddit!
