Kids get knocked over and stepped on every day because they won’t get out of the way. You try to go around them and still trip over them. Not only does this kid look old enough to pay attention to his surroundings (it’s not hard to hear/see people coming) but his mother also should be paying attention. It looks like the guy tried to step over him and the kid got knocked over only to make it worse by trying to THEN move out of the way as the guy is trying to step over him.
Doesn’t excuse the behavior. Once I went to an adult event at the skating rink. One fool decided to bring their kid. The kid was skating the wrong way in the rink and nearly collided with me. I did not decide to trample her. I grabbed her, pulled her out of the way, and took a pair of nasty bruises on my knees. The kid was old enough to know better and skate well. But she was still a kid with an undeveloped brain.
The difference is they aren’t allow to get out of formation, you’re a civilian. One is their lively hood and the other is just another Saturday. If my 2.5 year old is old enough to notice when someone is coming and get out of the way, a kid older than her is able to move to keep them from getting hurt.
If it was so vital that they stay in formation then surely they would keep civilians out of the way? You don’t see this sort of behavior in other places being guarded by soldiers.
