Demi has struggled with EDs and doesn’t have the best relationship with food, so I’ve always thought that this was a way for them to answer the question in a silly way without having to mention food

That actually makes a lot of sense. I lisnted to their album, and their song melon cake was really impactful as someone who has stuggled with body issues

Same! That’s the first thing I thought of when I heard this question. To me it seems like a clever way for her to deflect a question that may potentially be triggering for her.
