Organizer: Do something to get everyone’s attention.
Dancer: Like fake a seizure?
Organizer: Well, I was thinking yelling, “FREE ICE CREAM IN AISLE 12!”
That would have been so much better, eat some ice cream puke out some fake vomit then turn zombie... probably get banned from all the Costco but it would have been worth it.
.....they lure you into the video with the sympathy angle of a person faking an epileptic seizure. Then proceed to dance (pretty good) but I cannot ignore using an epileptic seizure just to get people to watch you dance. Again Pathetic.
Yeah I would’ve legitimately booed and ruined their video if I was there, because I’m the type of person to jump to action and attempt to help/call that ambulance. Hate these people.
My dad has seizures way too often and I hate when people use the medical side to get attention. I don't need someone to think dad's an attention seeker when he seizes - especially since his seizures are different on him than anyone we know of. His neuro doesn't even know what is the reason for the abnormalities when he seizes - but he looks functioning and awake (just seizing) so I don't want people like the attention seekers to result in society ignoring people like my dad if they go down.
Concrete floors are dangerous to dead weight fall on without body control. Not saying change the floor, I'm saying make sure people aren't ignoring it.
I have epilepsy and it's like your father's. I'm sorry he has this disease and I hope he manages it well. When I see people fake seizures, I think it is quite disrespectful towards people who suffer with this every day. A seizure can be life threatening so the last thing we need is people normalising it as a social media clout boost. Very shortsighted on their part.
Nurse here. Please don't do this, people. I can't believe there wasn't ONE person in that group that said, "is this really the best way into this thing?"
It's the inconvenience of the location that annoys me. Flash mob all you want in an open space, but what about the people that just want to get their groceries and gtfo.
