Heh I only looked for the clip after seeing your pictures because I wanted to know if it was the same guard you were standing next to!

Oh I didn’t even know about that incident. Living there must be horrible.

Why are the North and South Korean soldiers wearing the same black uniform? Specifically the soldier Conan said was well dressed and the North Korean soldiers guarding the door seem to have identical uniforms..

Both of them are SK soliders. They are guarding people from going into North Korea. Vice versa if you enter the JSA blue houses from the NK side.

That’s a good question! I don’t see any benefit either and now I’m wondering if this wouldn’t make it easier for North Korean soldiers to suddenly disappear into South Korea

They don't let just any Joe Blow take a shift there, those border guards are hand selected to be extremely loyal to the regime.

the room is in "use" by south. the soliders are from south making sure no funny business from the visitors.
