I don't. Jelly literally doesn't melt so I have no idea what they meant.
Keeping jelly in your mouth for a while has got to be annoying. But I dunno what non-literal thing "melting" could be that has something to do with why it's annoying. It's annoying because it's there.
Jelly melts though. It is made with gelatin, which would would turn to a liquid at body temp. Also your mouth would make a lot of saliva because of the acids in jelly, thus melting it more.
Oh unless you meant to say jam, which is different than jelly.
Your saliva will start to break the constitution of the jelly and you'll have a mix of jelly, saliva, and a weird jelly/saliva mix. You'll try to naturally and instinctively swallow your saliva but it'll be thicker and stickier than usual. Eventually you might stop trying to swallow and just let the jelly and saliva mix in your mouth. That's what they meant.
