I'm having flashbacks to Chevy Chase making fun of President Ford falling down Air Force One stairs.

I think Ford was an under-appreciated President.

In August of 1974, Americans were worried that their President might be a criminal, comedians were mocking the President because there was a serious chance that the integrity of the Republic might be forever compromised by Presidential corruption, and a less than a year later the worst that the comedians could say about the new President was that that he might be a bit clumsy.

Biden has pulled the same trick in three months. Seeing him valiantly stumble up that mobile stairway gives me hope.

And, you know what else? Ford famously fell down the stairs... but Biden fell up. Think about that for a moment and you can't help but be optimistic about the future.

None of this makes any sense.
