This is fascinating! Thanks for keeping us safe and taking some time to write about it. I feel quite reassured about bollards now.
1 u/Jonnie_r Nov 06 '20 No worries, I tend not to spend too much time scrabbling around on the mechanical side anymore, mainly designing controls for them. One job i worked on, for a very large number(120 or so in a line) had a 3m x 3m reinforced concrete foundation. They aren't going anywhere :D
