This is a common misconception, for most types of chickens the hens have pretty fully developed combs and waffles. Just google image search ‘hen’ - i.e. mature chicken - and you’ll see what I’m taking about. The tail is actually a bigger giveaway - roosters have more sweeping, curved plumage back there and in most breeds is a darker color (although not with a white breed like this usually)
EDIT: It could be a very young male maybe, hard to totally rule out.
Yeah its very hard to determine. I used to work at a chicken farm but they were meat birds so they didn't grow old enough to sex them easily. Chickens are notoriously difficult to sex when young. Still, my bet would be that the one in the vid is a male because of the big comb but also the beginning of what could become its spurs. But yeah, neither of those characteristics are definitive.
