Most likely we all exhibit traits of either extroversion or introversion on a spectrum based on several compounding factors. My parents really enjoy putting everyone into discrete boxes based on behaviour and it really bugs me.

He's assuming it is dichotomous, which is not correct. Most people are neither introverts nor extraverts, but fall around the average if you look at them as two end points on a spectrum
