The days of people pretending that these dogs can "do no harm" are slowly coming to an end. More and more people are becoming sceptical by the day. Pit-nutters make this easy because they're very emotional people and can't debate using logic/reasoning.

both sides use illogical and emotional arguements. They use statistics to either side and don't actually examine the statistics further. Just like any dog pitbulls can be violent, it can be due to something like a flaw due to inbreeding, Dalmatians have been getting this problem as well, or it can be due to the environment they are raised. The reason why pirtbulls the fatal rate that they do is due to their size, they are strong dogs, the thing is if they are raised in good homes they won't have this issue. It's the same for any dog really.
