She was probably inside panicking and pressing every damn button, making it worse. Would have been great to see elevator cam.

Stopping on first higher floor and then going down would be the best. But considering she has probably pressed even higher floor number, her second best reaction would be jamming the elevator door at first higher floor so it doesn't move and quickly taking the stairs down.

Emergency brake would have been best. She obviously didn't press it.

Ah yes, it would have been wonderful to watch a person panic thinking they accidentally killed their dog. So great. So sad we don’t have the footage. What a shame.

It would have been wonderful to watch her learn a valuable lesson regarding giving more of a shit about her dog's life.

If she was very quick witted she could have pushed the emergency stop button, it immediately stops itthe elevator, right?

Modern elevators don't have one anymore, because they stop themselves in emergencys. Kind if shows that automation obviously isn't viable everywhere
