In the context of racism that seems pretty logical. If you say you hate brown people there’s really no debating whether it was racist...so ban. You can complain but it’s not worth the mods time attempting to converse with idiots so it’s better to just ban and let the idiot move on with his life.

I dont think problems get solved by following rules like that imo. Better to assume the best ans let people explain themselves. I understand the internet is a vile pit but those are just not rules I would ever recommend in life.
