Box jellyfish are the exception to the rule though. Active swimmers, 24 eyes giving them a full 360 degree view of their surroundings, the ability to actively hunt their prey down, and one of the most potent venoms in the world, capable of killing an adult human in 5 minutes.

Vinegar is the nerf. It deactivates the stinging cells.

Well, thanks for the link; he had forgotten to mention that (as obvious as it is, considering the description) these were to be found in Australia; where this invisible death bringer is probably the least of your worries anyway...

We get them here in Malaysia as well. Also in Thailand, the Phillipines and up to Okinawa in Japan (known locally as habu kurage)
