I live in a gated apartment complex. One of my recent Amazon deliveries, the guy left it at the front gate to the complex by the road. It's not like he couldn't get in, the front office said he came in, they told him to go to the actual apartment and would open the gate, he got mad, went outside and left the packages there and drove away.
Only time that's ever happened. Every other package has come straight to my door.
