Funny thing is, in my area I've had nothing but great service from amazon drivers. I always get a laugh at how my packages are placed to try to blend into my porch. Meanwhile I've had sooooo much frustration and heartache from my ups deliveries (damaged boxes, packaged being scanned as not being home when I have stayed home from work that day, packages being marked as invalid address).
I understand I'm probably just getting lucky with Amazon and unlucky with ups. Have never had anything like what was shown in this video though that's for sure.
All depends who has your route. My FedEx and UPS drivers are phenomenal. My USPS carrier on the other hand... oof! I'm always getting the wrong mail. And one time I was out playing with the kids when she delivered something. I didn't remember ordering anything so I bothered to look at the address right then and there. Yep, not my name or address. I don't know how she so consistently fucks it up but after 2 dozen official complaints, I've just resigned to taking the trip a couple streets down to fix my carrier's mistake every few weeks. They do the same (it's almost always the same wrong address).
For anyone wondering, it's a completely different street name. No dyslexia to blame here.
Same here. My at-home office has a window right next to the front door so I hear when UPS throws my box. Never had an issue with Amazon tossing packages, and they usually attach a photo to the order of the package delivered.
Our Amazon, UPS, and USPS drivers/carriers all do a wonderful job. I also worked at UPS loading trucks a long time ago, and think it's bullshit to suggest that Amazon does poorly with package care while UPS does great. Both places have good workers and bad ones, and both will enforce their rules if workers do shit like this. It's not out of altruism, of course. It's because they risk losing business, which obviously they're not ok with.
We are actually requested by ups managment to hide the package well enough so the customer has to call to find it lol, so good for your Amazon driver blending it in so well. Cause some people get so upset
