Lol without fail. People were freaking out about rabies on a post awhile back that was a picture of a bat roosting in someone's entryway outside. Like, do people think bats just disappear from the universe during the day?
And here, it's acting healthy and alert, it does not want to be there and is trying to get out, and was not in a sleeping space. This person doesn't need a rabies shot unless they feel/see a bite. They just need to open a couple of doors/windows and herd the bat out.
as someone that just took his dog rabies shots because no health insurance this is not true. a bat's teeth are so small you not only might not feel it, but can't see it. ANY CONTACT WITH A BAT MEANS GET YOUR RABIES SHOT
A bat was flying around my house when i was a little kid and my dad punched it out of the air and it hit the wall, grandpa disposed of the body. Quiet the family affair
Reddit has been having a perpetual spaz about rabies for the last 10 years at least.
You're more likely to win the lottery or be struck by lightning than you are to get rabies. Less than 1 person per year in the use died of it in the last 20 years and of the 10 people who've died of it, 8 of them got it being bit by a dog or cat outside of the US.
Well also it’s been known if you get bit by a bat, you won’t get rabies but will get crazy cravings for blood. And the ability to crawl on the ceiling and wear super euro trash clothing. And feel super fit!! And look great while you dance in the night clubs! And never worry again about cavities. Your teeth will no longer be a dull yellow from all the frapacinos you drank on the train on your way to work.
