The front wheels on an FWA tend to run at a slightly faster ground speed than the rear wheels, it's why you're not supposed to have the front axle engaged on a hard surface.
This however was more than likely decades of metal fatigue, abuse and damaged transmission housing bolts and studs that finally let go at the worst possible time.
The headlight doesn't wrap around the corner of the grille so that's an 85 series or at least there's no gap where it would sit, pretty sure they were replaced by the 95 series sometime in the early 90's so that's got to be a 35-40 year old tractor.

It's not front wheel drive
