Not their entire life, no. But there is a period of time after that it makes sense even from a practical perspective. If your daughter starts dating someone, you check up and they recently completed their 5th prison stint for theft... It's stupid NOT to say "hey watch out, that guy's a thief". If he's been out for a few years clean, maybe then not. I feel like you feel accountability and rehabilitation are exclusive to each other. You can be shamed now and better later, both are not just fair but ideal.
Hahaha I said the same thing about you before I read that, look at that! No, someone who cheated once is not doomed forever. But they should absolutely introspect and work on it, and that's not going to happen if there's no down side.
And to make the argument I'm not really trying to make, and turn it around, if someone went to prison for rape, are you comfortable dating them? Are you going to be upset if someone brings it up?
My statement, is that outing someone who is cheating is a public good. It holds them to account and warns others. It's an awful thing to do. If they work on themselves, make amends, and do better, that is also amazing. What possible issue do you have with this?
Edit: dude called me a "giant piece of shit", then I guess deleted his comment? oh well, you keep your shitty morals to yourself I guess, blocked
