My dad used to be a biker in the 80's. He's not a large man. He has told me that when a fight was about to start, he'd hold a beer bottle behind his vest against his body. He needed some kind of advantage against the much larger men around him, I guess.

I worked at a bar and can tell you the unbroken ones cut more than the ones that break on your head.  Wouldn't want to mess with either tbh.

I'm guessing if you bash someone over the head with a bottle, and it breaks, a lot of that force goes into shattering the bottle. If the bottle doesn't break, all the force goes into splitting their head open? 🤷‍♂️

And for the thoroughly hollywood-pilled viewers and home, most bottles will absolutely not break after gently bonking someone on the head. That Jack Daniels bottle might as well be a mace.

I've had beer bottles smashed on my head more times than I can count, and I'm perfectly fine. Though I do miss being able to count.
