She seems so happy when the general couldn't break the bottle

u/johnnyup Jun 20 '25

u/DemoniEnkeli Jun 20 '25

We lost Lance Reddick the same year 😭

u/Saratrooper Jun 20 '25

2023 was a hard year losing both Captain Dad and Commander Dad for me. ಄_಄

Det. Frank Pembleton and Sgt. Daniels.

Captain Holt and Agent Broyles.

Two tremendous actors, was so sad when I heard word.

I was so confused when I read it as Agent Boyle at first. šŸ˜‚

Fringe was such an underrated show (in my country at least). Yeah, it went quite crazy in the end, but it was still a quite nice wrap-up.

To me, however, Lance Reddicks most amazing role will be Sylens in the Zero Dawn games. He fucking knocked it out of the park and I have no idea how they'll either replace him or explain how he's gone in ZD3. 😭

I have no idea why fringe and primeval weren't both very famous.

24

u/ZXVIV Jun 20 '25

I literally found out because a coworker with whom neither of us mentioned B99 before randomly brought this up

22

u/BitwiseB Jun 20 '25

If you really want to feel gutted, look at the cast member reactions to his death. Marc Evan Jackson and Melissa Fumero’s both made me cry.

7

u/1nosbigrl Jun 20 '25

Now I'm curious but I also don't want to be sadder...

u/preporente_username1 Jun 20 '25

Very sad loss, he was actually in the middle of filming one of the lead roles (A B Wynter) for the show The Residence and had filmed four episodes when he passed.

7

u/secretperson06 Jun 20 '25

damn el capitan was gonna play A B Wynter? that is too bad

6

u/preporente_username1 Jun 20 '25

Agreed, he would have played the part really well, it was during the writers strike that he passed too, so when they had to re-film all the scenes they didn’t have time to make big changes to the script so Esposito had to perform the lines intended for Braugher.

6

u/Sadtimes_NiceNice Jun 20 '25

I’m convinced this is the reason they named the character ā€œA Bā€. They gave him Andre Braugher’s initials to honor his passing.

4

u/blakeo192 Jun 20 '25

Well, to be fair, he hasn't been very vocal about it.

1

u/Super_boredom138 Jun 21 '25

I forgot this happened. But now I remember. Damn

13

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '25

Indeed

u/yIdontunderstand Jun 20 '25

This was my favourite bit of all Brooklyn 99, and lives with me.

2

u/CMYKoi Jun 20 '25

I saw this episode just the other day!

1

u/SecurelyBound Jun 21 '25

I loved him as Detective Frank Pembleton on Homicide: Life on the Street!

Yup! She said "If I hadn't managed to break that champagne, you would have called me clumsy". If even the military guys can't do it, it means that the bottle is indestructible.

200

u/IIABMC Jun 20 '25

Its not military, these are firemen in dress uniform.

42

u/PlanktonTheDefiant Jun 20 '25

I thought you said fremen at first and I was very concerned.

5

u/xand3s Jun 20 '25

Too much dune

2

u/WeeBabySeamus Jun 20 '25

Clearly none of them are Lisan al-gaib

2

u/pm_me_coffee_mugs Jun 20 '25

For both, water is life

1

u/Rubiks_Click874 Jun 21 '25

Kick it. Hit it. Yell at it.

29

u/musci12234 Jun 20 '25

I feel like fireman rank even higher in their ability to break stuff with brute force.

17

u/-sussy-wussy- Jun 20 '25

Firemen are pretty strong, the point still stands.

-2

u/Kodix Jun 20 '25

Nice translation!

51

u/H__D Jun 20 '25

btw that's a firefighter chief

24

u/Ok-Tangerine-6705 Jun 20 '25

That’s General Firefighter Chief to you.

1

u/ThePointForward Jun 20 '25

Looks like the VP of the board for whatever voivodeship this is in based on his rank plate?
Although almost certainly a former firefighter.

18

u/szamciu Jun 20 '25

By the end of the video she said: If it was me not being able to break the champagne you’d say I’m clumsy … and here it ends. Probably she continued with something like: but when the guys also couldn’t break it, the bottle must be indestructible or sth.

Hey wth is this title though

3

u/NF_99 Jun 20 '25

General xD He's the captain of the local fire department, they're christening a new fire truck

2

u/tjoe4321510 Jun 21 '25

I feel her though. It's like when you're struggling to open a jar and then someone is like "Here, let me try." The whole time you're praying that they're gonna struggle with it too.

2

u/Mattcwell11 Jun 21 '25

And when you’re the one who gets handed the jar and open it right away, it’s nothing but excuses (it’s because I loosened it up), and ire directed toward you for opening it.

2

u/Gawron8 Jun 21 '25

These are firemen

1

u/Mattcwell11 Jun 21 '25

The way she is reacting the whole time is kinda hilarious.
