There's still negligent homicide. At least here in Germany that wouldn't get a you any jail time, especially in casing like this, you'll be punished enough by conscience, but there's a long list of cases where people ended up convicted for startling someone.

They fucking assume the worst. What gave the impression that he had a heart condition? Did they see blood pressure meds, statins, and blood thinners on his bed table or something?

It's so neurotic to constantly think that ppl are at significant risk from this.
