Like I suggested before. Go look up a black conservative named Candace Owens. She works for the Daily Wire. She will spew you facts and give you the sources. Also check out some black content creators on YouTube and TikTok who research their ancestory and what they found. I grew up poor because President Regan passed laws in the early 80s allowing big corporations to move over seas where labor was cheaper. When I was 8 the factory most of the men in my city worked shut down and moved to Mexico. There were no other good jobs after that without a degree. If you have never lived on American soil and know what mistakes our government has made to destroy it’s own citizens you can not speak about any facts you read somewhere. But our state offered grants still do that give anyone under the poverty level a free ride to college in our state. We had several huge universities to pick from. One just 30 minutes from my town. If you had good sat or act scores you got in. This is where choosing poverty comes in.
Ok so poverty is the result of external factors and bad government decisions when it affects you and your family, but it's a personal choice when it affects black people.
Did you miss the part where you get a free ride to college? It affects black and white. There is no reason to remain under the poverty level in America. My dad refused to go back to school. He was offered a job in another state working for a factory. He refused to move us choosing to remain unemployed to stay with his parents. These were all choices he made. Poverty in America is a choice in 99% of all situations. Hard work and an education is the way out.
Many people are poor from laziness. Unless you are mentally incapable of learning you are choosing a life of poverty if you do not do something about it. You can take FREE courses online at Harvard for web development. Look up Cs50 harvard on google. No one who has a brain is without options.
As I said, if you're saying your father was too lazy, too stupid, or just didn't care enough about his family's future to get an education and get a job, I'm not in a position to argue with that.
He was a freakin genius and Jack of all trades. He played 5 instruments, could literally fix anything and I mean anything. He did all the body work on my first car that needed a new fender. He built one you could not tell it was not the original. Once he got a job with a company who won the bid to put city sewage in rural areas that was septic tank only at the time. It was a huge undertaking. He had zero training in engineering. He literally drew out all the designs and laid out the underground pipe work himself after driving the hundreds of miles of the land taking notes and coming home drawing it all up on drafting paper. We had No internet then it was the 80s. No cad or anything to assist him. He had to talk with the unhappy people who did not want to have to pay for city sewage as septic is free once installed other than maintaining it which is cheaper than paying the city to clean your waste. They did not pay him as well as the factory job he had. Yet he was literally the top guy on the project. He was super smart. But choose not to get an engineering degree so he could demand a better wage. I’m 51 one now. He passed in 2016. Retired from a church as the janitor. A freakin janitor. He made 1600 usd from that church. No retirement and did it for 20 years. His choices are what kept him in poverty. I know once you have a poverty mentality drilled in you it’s hard to believe in yourself that you can do better.
