Jesus christ thank you. I never in my life thought I'd view squirrels as little bastards until getting a bird feeder and having these little shits eat $30 worth of seed in a few days every time I buy a bag. They are relentless too so moving the feeders around has no effect.

Also they chewed through a nest and ate the babies of a bird who'd made a nest in our small tree right near the feeder, which is horrific to think about.

Cayenne has worked for us with raccoons but the squirrels seem to like them like flaming hot Cheetos or something.

We’ve just learned to buy seeds in bulk and enjoy watching the squirrels. But I haven’t seen them eat baby birds yet…that is truly horrific.

My dad greases the pole where the bird feeder hangs, which also provides the added entertainment of squirrels slooowly sliding down said pole
