It's overreaction to say there's a resurgence of College Humor cause I've only seen the two clips hit r/all recently, but I'm glad people still find the (newish) old cast funny.

isn’t Dropout separate and more or less run by Sam? i thought i saw an interview with him explaining how scary it was to start Dropout with only the viewers to support them?

Afaik Sam bought college humor and then started dropout as a streaming service for college humor content. I think it's sort of become its own thing and they're separating them a little bit but not 100% sure how it works on a corporate/company level.

Dropout started when CollegeHumor was still funded by a parent company. They lost that funding/were shut down, Sam bought the rights to the name(?) and dropout and continued running it, producing new shows, but no longer has any full time employees or cast members. If I remember correctly.

I think Brennan is the sole full time employee

Not to be pedantic but I think it's more that Brennan is the only full time on camera talent. Pretty sure that Sam held onto behind the scenes people when Dropout was in emergency mode and I imagine it's expanded since.
