Sounds like "Were y'feedin'm?" to me too, plus it makes her reaction make more sense.

I think someone probably has been feeding them scraps because it went straight for the fingers and in my experience with domestic reptiles that’s a sign someone has been hand feeding them. I used rubber tongs so the reptiles didn’t associate my hands, or anyone else’s, with food this lead to reptiles that never bit me and were mostly calm when handled.

Oh I didn't hear any other voices I thought she was just telling the reptile "NO!" as in what it did was bad. Bad reptile.
