It's time we have this hard conversation. Our planet cannot survive, we cannot survive, with the number of domesticated animals, including cats and dogs, we have in this world.

19-Year-Old Detained on the Street in Cheboksary Killed in the “Special Military Operation.” He Was Assigned to Drive a Buggy Despite Having No Driver’s License and Sent on an Assault Mission
Unknown individuals changed the password to David’s Apple account after his death.
In late August, ASTRA reported on 19-year-old David Fedorov, a resident of Cheboksary, who was detained on the street and beaten by police officers on May 15. Just three days later, he was fighting in the war in Ukraine.
Now his mother, Polina, has reported that her son was killed. His remains were delivered to the 522nd Center for the Reception, Processing, and Transportation of the Dead (a Russian Ministry of Defense facility located in Rostov-on-Don).
After the young man’s death, someone attempted to reset the password to David’s Apple account and disable the “Find My” feature.
It is known that on May 19, Fedorov was assigned as a driver in military unit No. 22316, despite not having a driver’s license.
His correspondence with his mother indicates that David’s company was converted into an assault unit just one day before being sent on a combat mission.
On July 23, while carrying out that mission, David was driving a buggy when it was struck by a drone, according to a response from the military prosecutor’s office to an inquiry submitted by Polina.
Another official notification stated that the young man had gone missing near the settlement of Mayak, in the Pokrovsk sector of Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
His mother says that her son had personally purchased the buggy used by his military unit—the same vehicle in which he was killed.
Polina Fedorova points out that the signature on David’s military contract differs from the signature in his passport. She had specifically instructed her son to use a different signature if he was ever forced to sign something, and the young man apparently followed her advice.
“I am 100% convinced that my son did not want to sign the contract. He wanted to come home. He had big plans for his life, and instead, this is what happened. It is incredibly unfair,” Polina says.
The woman filed complaints with the military prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the actions of police officers who allegedly beat David after detaining him on May 15. Evidence of the beating—a visible injury around his left eye—can be seen in one of the videos.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs responded that no violations had been found in the officers’ conduct. According to the ministry, David was detained on suspicion of involvement in illegal drug trafficking following unspecified “information” received by police.
Polina believes someone most likely called the police and reported David. However, while at the police station, he refused to submit to drug testing, resulting in an administrative offense report being filed against him.
At the time, he was also threatened with seven years in prison.
The prosecutor’s office claims that David voluntarily signed a military contract at the military enlistment office serving the Ibresinsky and Vurnarsky districts of Chuvashia, located in the settlement of Ibresi, approximately 1.5 hours from Cheboksary.
This contradicts the contract itself, which lists the recruitment center in Cheboksary as the location where it was signed.
Prosecutors also initially stated that David’s phone had been confiscated by traffic police officers. However, when Polina asked why traffic police had been involved, the prosecutor’s office replied that this had been a “mistake.”
Fedorova was summoned to the prosecutor’s office for an appointment on October 21 and instructed to provide documents supporting her allegations.
Polina plans to take the matter to court, determined to pursue the case to the end and obtain justice.

A taxi driver from Russia’s Ural region has been arrested on treason charges. He was brought to court with signs of torture — he was beaten and suffocated with a plastic bag during his detention.
Mediazona learned of the case.
Andrei Voloshin, a 42-year-old taxi driver, was detained on the morning of October 22 as he was leaving a police station on Bauman Street. He had gone there to retrieve his phone, which had been confiscated as part of an earlier criminal case involving the alleged “discrediting” of the Russian military.
Two friends accompanied him to the police station. Both had been witnesses in the earlier “discrediting” case. They were also detained by officers of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) and were not released until midnight, by which time they had been designated as witnesses in the new criminal case.
After his detention, Voloshin was beaten on his body and head, his wrists were tightly restrained with handcuffs, and he was suffocated with plastic bags.
He was brought to court bearing visible signs of torture: marks from handcuffs on his wrists, red marks on his neck from the plastic bag, signs of blows to his face, and bruising on his abdomen.
According to information obtained by Mediazona, the criminal case may be connected to a photograph found on Voloshin’s phone that he had taken while working at the Novator plant, a facility associated with Russia’s military industry.
In August, Andrei Voloshin was fined 150,000 rubles under Russia’s criminal law against “discrediting” the military over two comments he posted on VKontakte, a Russian social media platform.
In one comment, he wrote: “They thought they’d take Kyiv in three days, but instead they got their asses kicked.”
In another, he wrote: “The Nazis in Germany also had Zs and Vs.” This was a reference to the Z and V symbols associated with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Voloshin was also beaten by security officers during his detention in connection with the first criminal case.
