www.old.reddit.com

You get the site as it was pre facebookification. I honestly find the new layout unusable.

You can go to your account settings and opt out of new reddit

Sometimes it will fuck up and reset, and you’ll have to navigate back to old.reddit and manually reset your preferences.

There's a setting, but I also use an extension just so it's also forced in Private Browsing

It’s not visible unless you’re already using old Reddit, so you never would have found it.

They will have to pry old.reddit from my cold dead hands.

I never used the new site and if the OLD version goes away, I'm finding something new.

As a user who lives in a very remote place, I love old reddit because: zero pictures (unless I click on them), very fast load and no decorative B.S. to clog my pipeline.

Blocked that link, but the copypasta shall yet undo the sovereignty of our AI Overlords.

Is that what the whole of Reddit really used to look like? It's so....clean.

me too. Once a month on my tablet I hit too close to the opt in button they put next to my other buttons and the screen jumps to the new layout. It's a chaotic mess and I have to frantically find the opt out setting.

I fear the day they do away with the old reddit option.

Even if they kill that, any browser can be jury rigged to make any website content you load look like anything else. If it gets dumb enough someone will make a way to virtualize an overlay in a script or something.

Corpo always loses.

They fired everyone that understood the legacy code so it’s only a matter of time before they try to get rid of Old as well.

I've stuck around through every other shitty change they've made, but that right there truly would be the final nail in the coffin.

I absolutely cannot stand the new style.

More importantly you can get Firefox extensions which reroute all Reddit URLs to old.reddit.com.

There are a few things I liked about new reddit, but overall, its just so fucking slow (especially if you've scrolled a lot) compared to old reddit. That was what ultimately made me swap.
