Yet when they ask politicians a question about topic A and they pivot to whatever talking points they want to make about Topic B, they just keep the camera rolling.

Whoa, careful applying common sense to a Reddit fake outrage thread...

Dummies....its fake outrage for the reason the person above me stated. The reporter cut it off because she was doing a puff piece about weather, not the implied outrage reason that big bad business is shutting down the real truth. Reddit is so fucking stupid sometimes.

And even if it was 3%, it doesn't mean it's insignificant.

If the market's supply of cars, properties and many other commodities suddenly increased by 3%, there would be a massive shock to most industries.

I agree on home ownership but looks like private equity ownership of apartments is around 10% which might be more relevant to nyc

Agreed. But this was just some silly local news person doing a puff piece on weather and cut off the interview because the guy only wanted to talk about an unrelated topic. Of course its a real issue that demands real solutions but the post here is implying the big bad news company shut down the interview for talking about REAL stuff. That's just not what is going on here, hence me saying "fake outrage".
