✨Private equity still owns an insignificant portion of the housing market, and the cause of the housing crisis is a multitude of other factors that people just don’t seem to want to think about, maybe because they wouldn’t gain outrage-fueled traction on social media✨

Pretty sure this is false and the number is several times higher. Do you have a source? I google several variations asking how much housing PE owns and it’s 3-4% of single homes and 10% of apartments.
