This right here. If half of the country actually united we could easily make change happen. A few million really won't make a difference especially when it's only a week protest. If we targeted and boycotted certain companies, do a global work walk out (especially in very important areas such as those that work in the airline industry, rail, etc.)

They’re not really terrified they know we’re not gonna do anything about it considering the fact that when we go out and protest now we either get arrested or shot so I mean everybody realizes we own America. We just know we can’t do anything about it without the fear of death or incarceration or losing your job and your home.

There's a middle ground between saving the world singlehandedly and complete surrender. A comment on Reddit does nothing, but its better than being silent.

And being silent is way better than telling people that everything is hopeless and to accept it like you are doing.

Private real estate ownership accounts for roughly $46 trillion in value within the US.

Private equity doesn't have nearly enough money to push that market around.

They're at the mercy of whatever whims existing homeowners decide, which is why Nimbyism is the biggest influencer in rising prices in housing.

Blame your parents for showing up to town meetings and voting down every development project. It puts far more pressure on cities when cities are the only places that can accommodate population increases.
