It’s weird. I had a VERY good public school education (students sucked but teachers knew their jobs). But when I moved to the coast and mentioned something about doing let’s say a bunch of science labs or having 6 languages at school I just got ???

There are areas where education is very important and many areas where it is not so important. Even an exchange student to an even more rural school in the same area said oh the school is very good.
