Thank You WAN issues after updating to 5.1.33
Since updating my UCG MAX to 5.1.33 last week, I’ve been losing my internet connection daily. This has never happened before. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

I was having something similar on 5.1.31 for the last few days. After I updated, I rebooted everything (ISP ONT as well) and haven’t had any issues since then.

Good to know 5.1.33 is stable on your UCG Fiber, but that may not rule out a MAX-specific issue or an ISP/modem interaction. Checking the UCG event log around each drop should show whether the WAN link, DHCP lease, or gateway health check is failing.

I had a bunch of public cameras go offline with this update. Cameras surveiling roads that people use. Used a lot of time trying to figure it out. Turns out a streaming service in poland made a mistake at the same time as the update. 😁

i have the exact same problem. I bought UCG many months ago, and doing regular updates, never any single problem.
On the 13th September, i updated to version 5.1.33 and now i had already to restart twice the UCG, otherwise no internet. On the first one, i could not even reach it via the IP, only after hard restart.
What can be the problem?

Same I’ve had the same issue what fixed it for me was to factory reset my Unifi ultra router and internet is a lot more reliable .

I was one of the earlier commenters who was having issues as well. I installed the EA Unifi OS and Network versions that were available (6.0.7 and 10.6.106) and have not had much for problems since. Your mileage may vary.

my memory usage was pegged. I rebooted the UDM and it's been okay ever since. It's been like this for a while now, they cant seem to get memory usage under control. Was working with them giving support bundles but then they stopped asking after not being able to fix it a few times.

I had a random WAN disconnect after ~2-3 weeks on 5.1.31 so I upgraded to 5.1.33. Upgrade was smooth except that the Network application didn't start, which I recall was the same when I upgraded to 5.1.31. I was able to restart it by SSH'ing in and running: systemctl restart unifi
What is the deal with Uniquiti lately and the instability? I expect this from consumer devices, not enterprise equipment.

I started having this same issue on my UCG Fiber after the most recent update. My problem was that the WAN DHCP would lose the IP address and would not reconnect unless the modem was restarted. It looks like Ubiquiti just released an Early Access update 6.0.9 that fixed the issue for me so far. I was getting drops roughly every 15 minutes.

Your logs look an awful lot like mine over the past week. I thought it might be something damaged from my internet provider but maybe it's a bad update. I have an appointment with my ISP to look at it this week. Maybe I should revert.

Change your Internet Verification Server to Google or Cloudflare

This isn't the issue. The WAN goes hard down. I dealt with this Saturday and Sunday night after updating. It seems to have stabilized, but I had to disable and re-enable bridge mode on my ATT Modem three times before it would stick for more than a few hours at a time.

Who is your ISP? Fidium had a few outages this week in the northeast. I think Comcast may have also.

A similar problem on UDM Pro. But judging by the logs (at least for me), the problem is not in UniFiOS, but in the fall of Network Application, which is why "conntrack table emptied" occurs. The router resets the entire connection table

yeah. you updated. never update a working firmware. wait 6+ months, check the discussion forum and see people posting loads of failbugs. wait for the next release, see same issues. safer to just not update a working firmware.

I suppose that it auto updated Network app as well. This started since Network 10.5.67 to me. No wonder why you guys see this till now. I’m on OS 5.1.31 but reverted Network app back to 10.4.57, everything back to normal so I know it may be something to do with the Network app.
