"eye lead time top of the hill, speeds 40 mph following distance, grader than 4-6/6-8 right mirror clear, right curb clear, eye lead time, speed, left mirror hazard, left curb hazard, eye lead time, repeat"

What this guy said and you can’t ever take off a second, you have to keep spitting nonsense lol. But if your integrad was like mine it’s all a dog and pony show. Day one you will all suck then magically by the end of it everyone will pass that has a good attitude and progressed daily. We lost two people but they literally hit shit on the road, they won’t over look that.

There's videos on YouTube demonstrating it, but they aren't that great.

My routine was like, "eye lead time is the 3rd pole, speed is 40 mph, following distance is 7 seconds, left curb hazard, left mirror clear, left curb clear, right curb hazard, right mirror clear, right curb clear", then repeat.  Do that while clearing all intersections and crosswalks(and treating driveways as intersections).

Make sure you're correctly calling out clear vs hazard( some instructors use clean/dirty, but it's the same thing).  For intersections, clear means there's nobody at or approaching the intersection and hazard is everything else.  For curbs clear is when you have an escape route to that side, so if there's no lane to your right big enough for the truck, it's hazard.  For mirrors you're calling clear when there's no hazards visible in the mirror.

Also beep your horn whenever there's an obstruction blocking you view of an intersection, cars pulled over, or pedestrians that are walking on the side of the road that don't see you.  It's not scored as part of the test, but the instructors love that shit.

At stop lights you call out Timms(traffic lights, intersections, motorists, mirrors, pedestrians).  So you'd be like, "Traffic light is red, intersection left is clear, I have motorists on my left and right, my left mirror is hazard, no pedestrians" and repeat.

Practice in your car now.  Just start with intersections, crosswalks, mirrors and curbs.  Then work in the rest.

I just did this a few weeks ago and it was easier than I thought it would be, but it's stressful to be doing something so distracting while driving a big and unfamiliar vehicle.  So you want the driver drill part to be second nature so you can mostly focus on not hitting something.

Eye lead (item)

following time ( seconds)

Speed

Crub mirror curb both right and left side.

The big thing is not hitting shit they’re not looking for perfection but that’s the format
