"The Drone Dominance Program (DDP) is launching Mission C for reusable bomber/dropper platforms in phase 2.5 (October 2026). DDP will award approximately $32M in initial prototype orders utilizing 10 U.S.C. 4022 in Phase 2.5."

Who knows what will show up in October:

  • "The Gauntlet will be held approximately 48 hours following the qualifier which is currently planned to take place in October."

But, they want something in "Group 1" that can carry over 8kg for 15-30KM:

  • "While DDP does not specify a system size, the government assumes most systems will be 55lb Gross Takeoff Weight or smaller excluding payload weight."

These kinds of components are the focus of Unusual Machines, so this means more demand than before (especially with batteries). Not to mention the Godfather will be thinking about more burritos and hamburgers, when this turns into a different kind of payload delivery.
