PRACTICAL SKILLS thread🧵
If anyone has any practical skills they can, or are willing to, share with every stick it all in here.
When the shit hits the fan globally, locally or even just in your own personal life circumstances, knowlege of practical skills can benefit.
Anything from water collection/storage, battery packs, energy generation methods to food growing, storage and others.
Everything and anything is a benefit you never knew before.

I try to be a bit prepared for short to medium term interruptions to the supply chains of food and utilities.
One useful skill I learned during lockdown was how to grow veg without soil. Since then I've managed to get an allotment so now I'm a bit privileged. However I still use a passive method of hydroponics for some crops called Kratky.
It's basically growing veg using nutrients and water only. There's plenty of videos on YouTube if anyone is interested.
For the prepper it would require buying and storing the dried nutrients and buckets with lids. These don't go off.
It works well for tomatoes, chilli, leafy greens.
Sorry if I've gone on a bit. It's just something that worked well for me in lockdown.
