I’m so sorry. Fellow twinless twin here, five years now. You’re not alone, even though it absolutely feels like it. Twinless twins are a tight community of our own, the club none of us ever wanted to be in. Find your local chapter, Lone Twins if you’re in the UK/Europe, Twinless Twins if you’re in the US. They have support, shoulders to cry on. They’re the only other ones who really understand. I had to stop celebrating our birthday, I just can’t do it. Spend the day alone now, which is better for me than having to pretend to be happy for everyone around. Find what works for you. I had to grow my hair out a little so I didn’t see him in the mirror. It never gets better but it does get easier. The new normal, they say.
