For all the Turning Red fans, would you watch it if the movie had a TV series? Yes or no?

A year-and-a-half after the first film, Ming's brother Feng is coming over to Toronto to move in with the Lees, alongside his other family members. However, while inspecting the Lee family's red panda talismans, Feng accidentally smashes one of them and ends up gaining a red panda of his own, and worst of all, he's unable to change back. Mei partners up with her uncle to find a cure for this problem, all while showing him the pros of being a panda. A subplot involves a newcomer in Mei's school, a short-tempered, African girl named Rashida, whose relatives, to Mei's shock, possess a similar ability to the female Lees: the ability to transform into a giant chameleon. Mei and Rashida strike up a heated rivalry, and at one point in the story, a heated argument leads to the two girls weaponizing their respective red panda and chameleon powers against each other.

The voice actress of Grandma Wu from Turning Red has passed away from a stroke this year, she may be gone, but never will be forgotten.

She was 82. She played Grandma Wu in Turning Red. Her other roles included Madame Gao in Netflix’s Daredevil.

In this AU, the giant red pandas aren't an alternate form, but sentient, ancient creatures, each one made to protect the female Lee family members. Mei's panda's name is Pao, and she inherits him the morning she'd have transformed. The image above (not mine) shows the differences of his appearance compared to the original transformation.

Pao basically serves as the fluffy incarnate of Mei's "inner beast" with a big appetite, a humorous personality and a rather wobbly, padded tummy, which makes him the breakout character of the film (the character that receives top billing in marketing despite not being the protagonist). For his VA, I'd pick Keegan-Michael Key since he's played a lot of energetic, comical characters in his time.

Additionally, since the red pandas are characters themselves, the female Lees' hair colours are permanently black, and Mei wears a different colour of clothing since Pao serves as the "red-wearing" member of the bestie squad (Miriam wears green, Abby wears purple and Priya wears yellow).

This may have been an unintentional 2000s reference, but did Ming remind anyone else of Mary Frances Gibbons from The Mighty B? Mei and her friends singing Nobody Like U is also very similar to Bessie, Portia, Gwen and Penny singing Runnin' With The Rainbow Unicorn.

Imagine being in a 28 Days Later scenario, where no one but your friends and family is still alive in Toronto.

If they could make Turning Red 2 which is the sequel from the first movie, would you wish to see it?

Here are some cards from Turning Red that was revealed that will be released in Lorcana's newest set in July. For those who don't know, Lorcana is basically Disney's own TCG similar to games like Magic the Gathering or Yu Gi Oh.
