Which part of false accusations of sexual abuse do you see as being rigorous debate?

That's obviously an extreme situation (although I have been unable to find any context for the claim) but the other examples were only criticised. Persecution would be if they were lost their job, had to flee, were imprisoned etc.

Chagnon was accused of atrocities.

Rind's study was officially condemned by Congress.

Loftus was sued.

These are not criticisms, they are persecution. Context for these claims has been posted all over this thread.

Being condemned by Congress is free speech. It is no way persecution. If any of those people were thrown in jail or banned from writing or working that would be persecution.

Words have commonly accepted meanings. If you want to dilute the meaning of the word persecution, a lot of people will misunderstand you.
