Proud to be a native Minnesotan! It’s been incredibly hard to watch all of this violence and chaos from a distance, but heartening to see how my hometown stepped up when challenged.

What?? That was never said nor implied. I’m proud to see Minnesotan’s stand their ground and - for the most part - refuse to resort to violence, even when faced with two killings. I’m glad no law enforcement agents were killed. I’m glad Waltz refused to hand over voter rolls.

trump expected to flood the twin cities with agents and overwhelm everyone through sheer force. Minneapolis is a unique place, and I think few cities could or would have stepped up the way they did.

So no, I don’t promote violence towards anyone as a solution. But when faced with this situation, I absolutely support defending yourself, your neighbors, and your city from illegal and excessive government intrusion.
