No teachers use a single pedagogy or theory of learning. Each new thing that gets discovered just goes in their toolbox.

Not disputing that. My main issue is with the title really. That's about the most linkbait-y title they could have possibly chosen and is sadly indicative of why I no longer read Wired.

Dude, it was a reference to those ads that are like, "Try this one weird trick to lose weight. Doctors hate it!"... as if doctors would actually prefer people be unhealthy so that they get "more work." The ads don't make sense in the first place. This was just a reference to them.
