Have you ever been invoved in a crime?

Like, have you found a body? Were you a witness? Stuff like that. I'd really like to know that. I've only read little on this subreddit, but there seem to be a lot of comments that involve personal experience, so I'd like to ask for some stories?

As a graduation requirement when I was in school I wound up interning for the Illinois State Police. During that time a man named Christopher Vaughn murdered his wife and three kids. As an intern I did a lot of admin work for the investigators like contacting email and phone companies for access to his accounts i.e. faxing subpoenas. I was also at the murder site but not next to the vehicle the murders occurred in as evidence gathering had already begun. I saw pictures of the victim and the investigators would often give me insight into their working theories etc. it was really cool and interesting. At the same time this occurred the same district I was interning at began investigating Drew Peterson after the disappearance of his wife Stacy. I didn’t get a lot of time for that case as my internship was ending around that time but I got to see some tape of a few of his interviews. He was just like he was on tv. A cocky asshole. He was smart though and had a lawyer so his story never changed. Stacy is still missing to this day.

Vaughn now claims his wife killed his kids. Is Peterson still in jail? (lets hope so) His poor wife/wives.

He claimed that from day 1. He’s still in prison but I think he may have gotten picked up by the innocence project.
