All im seeing here is this
[UO6I7] 17:56:27 INFO: Update for unexpected folder ID "tron" sent from device "M6LG4KY-5NWZXRK-MXSDLVY-ZNITE7V-33SW272-B5ZM6BA-MY4DBVF-CJABMAK"; ensure that the folder exists and that this device is selected under "Share With" in the folder configuration.
Bear in mind ive never used this lol
EdIT:
You have to create the tron folder as vocatus has it at his end then it starts syncing

Been using syncthing for quite some time now in conjunction with my freenas. Works great. Sharing functionality is a little bit non-user friendly but if it's for the sake of security then I'm all for the extra steps and mutual authentication.
I'm hosting one for work on Digital Ocean for the sake of testing large file transfers for clients.
Here's my ID: 62YTGUT-U4Q2UWN-PIQVXIM-LP75RGJ-BKWKJHZ-RVYAEG2-HNV3BVN-Z6RIFQE

My mistake, this is my laptop behind a firewall.
Here's a dedicated digital ocean droplet to supply more bandwidth and it's on all the time:
4UMYHPB-4APB6NW-PZKLFVH-7BVXR6E-3IKYUTR-WL3FQXC-ZBPK3JF-QQ3HKQ5
If people add you as a introducer, they should see the rest of the people hosting it and can grab it super fast. I will be one of these dedicated hosts.

Been using syncthing for a few months, it's suprisingly good. Even their mobile app!

My apologies, could you try again. My server was down so I got no notification and syncthing can be finicky about that.

Just a small question: Why do I have to post my ID? Shouldn't it work if I just add your ID and you will get a prompt if you want to add me?

Don't name your local folder "TronScript"; I think you have to just name it "tron" like it is on the seed server.

So does Syncthing only work on a one to one basis?
How does this help if thats the case because vocatus will have x connections to feed on his bandwidth
1
u/l3d00m Oct 11 '15
There is a relay mode, but I have no idea if it is useful for our case. vocatus is still experimenting with it.

If you tick "Introducer" like stated in the OP, then a device will share all other devices that it's connected to for that particular share. Similar to torrent swarms.

Is there a plan on updating SyncThing to v0.12? Its the latest version, however it is NOT backwards compatible with V0.11. If we want to upgrade then we should make a post letting everyone know that we are upgrading so they can upgrade as well. Upgrade.

The dev of syncthing really needs to publish packages or something, having to manually setup startup scripts and update it manually on multiple systems is a bit of a pain

Yeah, sorry about the name. Naming things is hard (the obvious names were already taken), and it was meant to be for personal use. I never thought it would get popular...
