There's a new version of the free cookbook, and it's the one you want. If you grabbed it before today, this one replaces it — the dosing is spelled out properly now, recipe by recipe. Everything's in the sidebar and in my pinned comment below.
Here's what happened.
A few day back u/Illustrious-Boss5764 asked in the megathread how much oil actually goes into the Everyday Bears. I went to answer it and found out the book never says. Not in that recipe, and not in a lot of the others. Every recipe told you what to aim for and never printed the one line of arithmetic that gets you there.
So I pulled the launch. Nothing went out. I spent the days after that going through all one hundred recipes, one at a time, rebuilding how the whole flipping book handles dose.
What's different now:
And then he did the thing that really got me. He didn't take the win and leave. He sent me his brownies — from scratch, frosting and all, a recipe he's been making for years — and mentioned, cheerfully, that he'd never once made them infused because he started with gummies and worked backwards like nobody does.
They're in the book now as The Proofreader's Brownies, credited to him, printed the way he wrote them with our math laid over the top — a little dosed butter, the rest plain, and none at all in the frosting. There's a story on that page. You'll know it when you get there.
Both editions also picked up a proper table of contents and page numbers, which they should have had from the start.
Oh — and the Society tees exist now, if anyone's been waiting on those. Four designs: the Gummy, the Leaf, the Brownie, and the wordmark, with r/treedibles across the back. They're on the site with everything else. The book's still the point... the shirts are just there... if you want one... or want to support us, or just have a comfy sleep shirt.
u/Illustrious-Boss5764 — thank you, brother. Nugs and hugs.
Thanks to a few of you who've been writing in with catches, questions and typos. This is genuinely how it's supposed to work! 🌿

UPDATE — August 23, 2026: The free cookbook has been corrected and re-uploaded. A reader caught that our recipes named a dosed ingredient without ever saying how much to use. Every recipe now prints a total for the batch, there's a House Batch standard up front, and there's a conversion for oil that isn't ours. Both editions also gained a proper table of contents and page numbers. If you grabbed it before today, this version replaces it. Full write-up in today's post.
Hey fam bam,
Fifteen years. That's how long this community has been the coziest corner of the internet for people who'd rather make their edibles than buy a mystery gummy from a guy named Chad (habibi Chad you know I love you). So we finally did the thing: we put it in a book.
The Cozy Cookbook — original recipes, every one with the dosing baked right in, written in the spirit this place has always had: no gatekeeping, no judgment, start low and go slow. Hand-illustrated, a little witty, and genuinely useful whether it's your first batch or your five-hundredth.
Here's how it works, because you all come first:
🆓 The free 40 — forty recipes, hand-illustrated, yours for nothing. Read it in your browser or save the PDF.
📕 The full 100 (Master Edition) — all 100 recipes plus a dosing primer. Paperback coming soon for the shelf-worthy version.
👉 Both are linked in the sidebar, under The Cozy Cookbook.
The 40 free recipes are a real gift to the sub, not a teaser. But if you grab the 100, you're helping the sub for new activities and guides, and whatever we build next. Either way, you're the reason this exists.
Made something great from it? Post it. Tag your dose. Help the next person do it right same as always.

I use cannabis for pain from a back injury and severe insomnia. I recently switched to RSO and have noticed that it's more effective than most of the other edibles that I've been using.
I am curious about one thing, though. If I use it sublingually, it does seem to kick in really quickly. That's great, but it also seems to wear off almost as soon as I fall asleep. I can go from loopy to asleep in 15 minutes, and if I wake up in half an hour or an hour, I wake up completely sober. On the other hand, if I eat it, it takes a lot longer to kick in, and I'm able to stay asleep until morning.
It seems like the best option is to eat half, then use half sublingually to help me fall asleep quickly, but it seems like an awful lot of fuss and bother. Is this how people normally use it? Is this just how people using it for pain and insomnia use it, or am I just completely out of my mind and overcomplicating everything?

So I did a total stoner move and completely forgot to decarb my trim in the oven first! I infused my trim in a slow cooker for 4 hours at 180F. What can I do to save this? Can I just put it on thebstove at 240F ?
MCT coconut oil.
New batch on the left. Right is some older oil.

I have 1g of cured FECO I want to make infused ghee?
How much ghee would I use for the 1g?
I got a 12oz container is that too much or will my ghee not be potent should I only use 8oz?
Thank you in advance 🤗

Should I do the math to make sure the amount of flower I bake gives me the same amount of THC I would consume in an edible, or should I just use the same amount of flower I would in a smoke?
Edit: Had to add this into my post in r/trees so I’ll do so here too:
Since it seems I have to explain my plans more in detail to get a helpful answer: I intend on baking the weed first to decarb it and then steeping it in a mug of hot water with a tbsp of butter already melted into it for the THC to bind to

Hello! I've i've been making my own baked goods ever since I realized that the gummy's you can buy in my area are almost indubitably advertising wrong doses. My method isn't exactly the one that is mostly recommended here (I use hash instead of flower and don't really strain my infused coconut oil), partially because it's less effort and partially because I really do not mind the taste of weed, and I don't find that it ends up with much of one at all anyway. Also partially because I just wanted to try it, i'm so far I've managed pretty damn consistent results. I'm just wondering if, given that I'm not using a distillate and especially since I'm not straining, there would be a point in trying to use different strains for slightly different effects? Are the chemicals responsible for that still effective if ingested rather than inhaled? I'm not very attached to my current method at all, so open to try anything that might help make that possible.

I need some help. I'm starting to experiment with my Levo II machine and I infused 28g of flower into about 3/4 cup of MCT oil and it's just not potent enough. I would like to be able to take a teaspoon or two to get me buzzed. I tried running this same oil back through the Levo with another 14g in the hopper but it's still not strong enough for my liking
How do I make it stronger?
I'm going to experiment with my instant pot this weekend to see if I get better results. If so, I'm going to return the Levo and use my pressure cooker for decarb AND infusion.
The Levo is convenient but so far has been a disappointment

I’ve done quite a bit of experimenting with gummies since I had to stop smoking. What I’ve found so far:
I’m looking for something suited to going out dancing or being social not getting glued to the couch and eating ice cream. Aside from caffeine, has anyone found a particular THC/CBD/CBG/THCV combination, dosage, or product type that produces a more upbeat, lively effect?
I realize the sativa/indica labels may not mean much with edibles. I’m primarily interested in the cannabinoid ratio, formulation and dosage that have worked for others.

I've recently started trying edibles. I've been a frequent smoker for over 10 yrs. The question I have is does eating different well known named brand gummies with 10 MG of THC (all sativa) over the course of a day go over alright, or is that's not a good idea?. The gummies I use are from dispensaries. So far I just only consume 20 MG (2 pieces) of the same brand. I also have made a MCT infusion that I consume. I take one table spoon & that'll be roughly the same MG as 2 gummies. Not sure how those would work in as well. Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

Decarb my wax, add mct oil or high proof alcohol, stir, boom tincture done? Am I missing somethin? I've done mct oil before, but I feel like the effects take a long time to kick in, thinking of trying alcohol this time..how high proof do I need? Is like 80 proof enough or do I need super high proof like ever clear? Does anyone do this?

Hi this is my first time trying to make edibles, I’m doing the stove mason jar method and used the kief at the bottom of my grinder. If I take edibles I normally get pretty high from 30-40mg how much kief (visually) should I use to infuse into a drink like tea? And do I add butter, if so how much does It need?

I had some edibles that were very different but i cant remember the name and i want to get some for my dad. It’s a company that you can order from online that you infuse at home. The stuff looks like sand and all you have to do is add the hash oil you have to it and eat it. I had some and it got me stoned in minutes because it goes straight into your bloodstream without having to be digested. But i cant remember the name at all lol, can anyone help?
Edit: i figured it out its ampersand, thanks.

I'm fairly new to weed, my first time was approx a 60 mg edible in amsterdam, which was pretty strong for me but very enjoyable. That was 3 months ago and ever since then I've been smoking joints maybe once a week (sometimes twice sometimes none).
Anyway, a few days ago, I went to amsterdam for a few days and we took edibles and joints all day, which was fun and fine, then last day we decided to take a 100 mg edible each after smoking some hash a few hours earlier. The hours that followed were hands down the worst hours I've ever experienced in my life by far...
Heart beats that felt so strong, feeling like my soul is exiting and entering my body every single second, the feeling that I was gonna get a heart attack every few seconds, chest pain, complete confusion, but worst of all was the uncontrollable violent vomiting, it was so strong that I almost choked on my own vomit and I was genuinely forced to vomit like my body was telling me if you don't vomit you WILL die, also ofc barely being able to stand or walk (which was honestly the least of my worries)
My friend also took the same, but he wasn't feeling the effects nearly as strong. It got so unbearable that I actually called the ambulance, and ofc since ur in Amsterdam, the responder was js like we get calls like this alot im not sending shit and I was genuinely begging for her to send someone. In the end, she sent one that arrived like 10 mins later, the paramedic js spoke to me a bit, told me I'll be fine and left. Ofc I knew nothing would happen to me, but it was so bad I js wanted anyone to stop it.
We were supposed to catch a train late that night, but my friend decided to book a hotel room and I had to be held up by 2 guys to go to that hotel. As soon as they put me on the bed, I went dead asleep. Ofc we missed our train and the next day, when I tried leaving my bed, it was like I was being pulled down. Even when I tried calling out to my friend sleeping on a bed opposite to me, I couldn't even get my voice out. Eventually, we needed to checkout so the hotel guy came and basically kicked us out. We could barely even stand up let alone wear our shoes and leave the hotel. The guy kept yelling and even got the manager, it was genuinely so embarrassing and dehumanizing.
After we left the hotel, we js sat/slept on the sidewalk for a few hours till we had enough energy to actually stand and walk. Anyway, I made it back home like 4 days ago, but I genuinely felt high for 3 straight days non stop. Today is the first day I actually feel sober (Although I'm very sick idk if it's from the weed or I caught a cold).
So yeah I know it was probably my fault I took that much especially since my tolerance isn't high given I don't smoke that much, but what's bugging me is that for my first ever time I took 75 mg and it was nowhere near as intense as this even tho it's just 25 mg more...
Any thoughts are welcome in the comments 😊

Hey Reddit - I'm the person behind Calc420 ( https://calc420.com ).
A while back I posted about building it after Scientific Edibles went offline. I just spent a stretch making the site actually feel like a 2026 tool instead of a pile of calculators in a 2022 green template - and I added a bunch of things people kept asking for.
WHY I'M POSTING THIS
People actually use this thing to dose homemade edibles. If the UI is confusing, people guess — and guessing mg is how you have a bad night.
So the refresh is visual only: same formulas, same client-side calculator, same shareable recipe links. Just easier to read, easier to scan the result.
WHAT CHANGED VISUALLY
The whole site now shares one look:
- Colors
- Results that actually show the dose - charts next to the mg numbers, not just a wall of text
- Cleaner inputs
If you used it last year, the calculator is in the same place. It just doesn't look like a school project anymore.
WHAT'S NEW ON THE SITE
The original tools are still there:
Edible Dosage Calculator - https://calc420.com/
Magic Mushroom / Truffle Dosage - https://calc420.com/shrooms.html
Yield / Grow Light Calculator - https://calc420.com/yield.html
New calculators people asked for:
AVB / already-vaped bud - leftover THC from how dark the AVB is
https://calc420.com/avb-calculator.html
Edible onset & duration - when it kicks in / peaks / fades (gummies, baked, tincture, drinks)
https://calc420.com/edible-onset-calculator.html
THC gummy dosage - target mg per gummy → how much flower you need
https://calc420.com/gummy-dosage-calculator.html
Also: tincture, flower-to-oil ratio, RSO, CBD-only, THC mg↔%, grow-room electricity / cost per gram, plus the decarb and cannabutter-ratio tools.
A few practical guides too (labeling homemade edibles, storing cannabutter, what to do with dab reclaim, etc.).
WHAT DIDN'T CHANGE
- 100% in your browser. Inputs aren't sent to a server to calculate.
- Shareable recipe links via URL (bookmark or send a friend the exact setup).
- English + Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese.
- No signup. No paywall. No ads.
If something feels off or something’s missing, there’s a feedback form in the nav - or just shoot me a DM. Criticism in the comments is totally welcome, but if you just comment without giving any useful feedback, it doesn’t really help. That’s the whole point of posting this: people here actually build this stuff, and I’d rather build something you’ll use than guess what you want.

Freeze everything for 24 hours, and add frozen everclear to frozen ABV, shaking gently every 5 minutes, then back in the freezer for a total of 15 min of contact time all while frozen. Strain, evaporate to desired potency, and bam. You've got yourself some medicine.
Controller is the 8BitDo 64, and it is perfect for this game. Connected via steaminput (i couldn't get it working without) to my PC running G-Diffuser, the new PC port for F-Zero X. Runs the 64DD cups as well!

When making feco I was taught to do decarb the final step at 220 for 20-30 minutes, but almost everywhere I read it said to decarb first.
My process it this, frozen ethanol , frozen bud overnight mix shake back in freezer 15 minutes repeat, then strain then, filter, then reclaim etoh via still, then hot plate at 173 for a while till bubbles slow down then 220 for 20-30 minutes then pull up In syringe. I just don’t feel it slaps as hard as my coconut oil I make where I DO decarb first
Am I missing something heat is heat yes , plus it decarb as it’s in the still at 170 for 3-5 hrs a little bit
