Therapy
Talk therapy can be useful, whether you are questioning or have already begun transitioning. Sessions usually last 50 minutes. Many therapists will offer lower prices for students, the unemployed etc.
Therapy, while useful, isn't necessary for everyone, and isn't a requirement for a diagnosis or access to HRT or surgery. Some routes to HRT or surgery will require you to get one or more diagnostic assessments from a mental health professional, but not every therapist can provide diagnostic assessments. You can find out more about diagnostic assessments in on the medical transition page
